Abstract

Predatory efficiency of artificial diet reared Chrysoperla camea (Stephens) was studied against Myzus persicae (Sulzer) on tobacco in comparison with other predators viz., Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabricius), Ischiodon scutellaris (Fabricius) and monocrotophos (0.04%). All the predators were evaluated @ 1:50 predator-prey ratio. It was found that C. camea reared on artificial diet was effective in suppressing the aphid population and was comparable with other predators.
