Abstract

Studies conducted on effect of synthetic insecticides, biopesticides and their combination on rice leaf folder, C. medinalis and its predators namely spiders and coccinellids revealed that though synthetic insecticides flufenoxuron (100 g.a.i./ha) and lambda cyhalothrin (25 g a.i./ha) recorded lowest leaf folder damage but adversely affected the population of the predators. Application of biobit + flufenoxuron, prefenofos + Biobit and lambda-cyhalothrin + Biobit besides providing effective control of leaf folder also conserved its natural enemies.
