Abstract

Apanteles malacosomae sp. nov., is described and illustrated, and is distinguished from A. galleriae Wilkinson. The new species was reared as a gregarious endoparasitoid of larvae of the tent caterpillar infesting Pistaccia intigerrima in Himachal Pradesh (India).
