The present investigation deals with the effect of Ipomoea hedracea seed (kaladana) extract containing ecdysteroids on the development of Bombyx mori insect. Attempts were also made to quantify 20-hydroxy ecdysone in the Ipomoea hederacea extract by HPLC.
