Abstract

Study on spatial distribution of cowpea aphid, Aphis craccivora and its predator, Coccinella spp. on alfalfa during the cropping season of year 2003 in Leh (Ladakh) indicated that aphid population followed negative binomial distribution while Its predator, Coccinella spp. followed positive binomial distribution. The Iwao's patchiness regression equation were X* = 2.516 + 1.238 and X* = − 0.4434 + 1.0047 for aphid and its predator, respectively.
