Abstract

Studies conducted on the occurrence of metabolic mediated resistance in cotton aphid, A. gossypii to selected insecticides viz., endosulfan, monocrotophos, dimethoate, phosphamidon, carbaryl and cypermethrin using synergist PBO 1:10 and 1:5 ratios exhibited PBO suppressible metabolic resistance of 2.54, 3.33, 1.92, 2.15, 1.28 and 4.44 fold at 1:5 ratio and 3.50, 4.12, 2.40, 4.94,1.88 and 6.67 fold at 1:10 ratio to endosulfan, monocrotophos, dimethoate, phosphamidon, carbaryl and cypermethrin respectively at LC50.
