Among the insecticides tested polytrin 44EC (profenophos and cypermethrin) protected the crop from citrus leafminer, Phyllocnistis citrella upto - 10 days after the spray while cypermethrin and profenophos individually could protect the citrus plants for about one week. The insecticides, triazophos, monocrotophos and neem seed kernel extract showed less damage at 7, 10 and 15 days after application.
