Studies on relative abundance of Apis spp. (Apis mellifera Linnaeus, Apis cerana indica Fabricius, Apis florea Fabricius, Apis dorsata Fabricius) on Helianthus annus Linnaeus indicated that A. mellifera was dominant visitor. The population of Apis spp. was maximum at comparatively higher temperature and lower relative humidity. Maximum activity of foragers was at 11.00 hr and minimum at 15.00 hr in both the years. The correlation coefficient exhibited that there was positive correlation between abundance and temperature but negative and highly significant correlation was observed with relative humidity. The standard regression coefficients revealed that temperature played main role in fluctuating the population of Apis spp.
