Abstract

Studies on incidence of B. cucurbitae Coq. in relation to weather parameters indicated that the infestation of melon fly on bitter gourd was highest during kharif season followed by summer season and lowest in rabi sown crop. The percent fruit infestation was positively correlated with minimum temperature during rabi and summer seasons. In kharif season, infestation of melon fly showed positive correlation with maximum temperature and maximum relative humidity.
