Amino acid pattern during developing stages and in young pulse beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis (L.) (coleoptera: Bruchidae)

Abstract

Among 24 amino acids studied in Callosobruchus chinensis 20, 14, 14, 13 and 17 amino acids were detected in the samples of male, female, eggs, larvae and pupae respectively. The Isoleucine was not found in any of the sample studied. The intensity of alanine, dopa, hydroxy-proline, methionine, nor-leucine, threonine and valine in male; alanine, L-cystine Hel, dopa, hydroxy-proline, nor-leucine and valine in female; alanine, dopa, hydroxyproline, nor-leucine in eggs; dopa, hydroxy-proline, nor-leucine and valine in larvae; dopa, hydroxy-proline, norleucine, phenylalanine, proline and valine in pupae was brisk.
