Abstract

Interaction of red spider mite, Oligonychus coffeae and predatory phytoseiid, Amblyseius coccosocius was studied at different prey predator ratio viz., 1:1, 1.5:1, 6:1 and 10:1 under laboratory condition. The predator was found effective against Oligonychus coffeae at all the ratio attempted. The predator takes 7, 8, 14 and 13 days to eliminate the prey completely when released at a prey predator ratio of 1:1, 1.5:1, 6:1 and 10:1, respectively.
