Abstract
Conocephalus maculatus (Le Guillou) passed through 6–7 instar life cycle with post embryonic development ranging from 45–55 days on flowering parts of baby corn. The adults matured within 12–28 days while the adult life span ranged between 50–120 days. The total life span was 95–175 days. Its survivability increased with decrease in density viz., i.e. with 100 insects/cage survivability was 24.3% whereas with 25 insects/cage the survivability was 56%.
