Abstract

Studies on efficacy of different extracts of Azadirachta indica and Dipalzium esculantum against the sugarcane stalk borer, Chilo auricilius revealed that methanol extracts of A. indica and petroleum ether extract of D. esculantum were effective and reduced oviposition. Methanol extract of A. indica at 20% concentration gave lowest larval survival followed by petroleum ether extract of D. esculantum.
