Studies on relative performance of 7 rice varieties against the rice black bug, Scotinophara coaractata (Fab.) indicated that CO-37 was moderately resistant while ASD 16, IR 36, IR 20 and White ponni were susceptible and IR64, IR50, ADT36 were highly susceptible to the black bug.
