Abstract

Pesticide treated bug, D. rusticus showed fluctuations in the Total Haemocyte Count (THC). There was a decreasing trend in the THC in accordance with the concentration of the pesticide and duration of exposure. In Differential Haemocyte Count (DHC) under pesticidal stress prohaemocytes, granulocytes and plasmatocytes showed an increasing trend as they play vital role in the defense mechanism of the bioagent.
