High performance Corcyra moth collector cum egg cleaner
Abstract
Based on the principle of suction force a Corcyra moth collector cum egg cleaner has been developed. The time taken for collecting 100 Corcyra moths through manual collection required 115.33 seconds whereas corresponding value for Corcyra moth collector was 23.73 seconds, which was about 1/10th of time taken by manual collection. The cleaning efficiency of Corcyra egg cleaner was 97.23%, 93.00% and 14.56% when air turbulence was provided through hot air blowers, alternate opening and closing of turbulence holes and no air turbulence, respectively.
