Maximum feeding and development of grubs and adults of Zygogramma bicolorata was noticed on tender leaves of P. hysterophorus followed with composit feed (mixture of inflorescence, tender leaf, mature leaf), which also represented control. Feeding on inflorescence was not suitable for insect's breeding, as scanty eggs laid initially by field-collected beetles did not hatch.
