Abstract

Taxonomic studies have been conducted on the genus Blachia Walker and the type-species B. ducalis Walker to redescribe both taxa in detail, supported with appropriate illustrations for their diagnosis based on the taxonomically important characteristic features. In addition, the data on the morphometries of the body tagmata and appendages of B. ducalis have been provided to differentiate between closely related species of other genera belonging to the subfamily Asopinae (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae). Besides, a new Indian locality of its distribution has also been added to the previous list for the first time.
