Abstract

The insecticidal treatments viz., malathion 5D dusting @ 20 kg/ha and endosulfan 35 EC spray @ 2 ml/lit were able to protect 75 per cent crop from blister beetles and plant bugs up to ten days, while none of the other treatments afforded more than 25 per cent protection. The smoke by burning rhizomes of sweet flag (Acorus calamus L.) gave fair control of panicle pests for three to seven days.
