Abstract
The population of Lipaphis erysimi Kalt and A. proxima Klug, was minimum in crop sown on Oct. 10, and maximum population was recorded in the crop sown on Nov. 24 where average aphid population was 40.70 aphids per 10 cm twig while the number of Athalia larvae was 2.54 per square meter of crop. Mustard crop sown on Oct. 10, could successfully escape the infestation of two insect pests during two years of field experimentation.
