Abstract

The highest reduction in larval population (83%) of H. armigera was recorded in the HaNPV+folic acid 1.5% followed by HaNPV+ranipal (76.86%). Other treatments viz., riboflavin 1.5%, pyridoxin 1.5%, mango and eucalyptus leaf extract 0.5% mixed with HaNPV recorded 69.24, 68.33, 61.71 and 60.48 per cent larval reduction over control (HaNPV alone), respectively. Highest grain yield of 11.61 q/ha was recorded in folic acid and ranipal treatments. Addition of folic acid 1.5% or ranipal with HaNPV spray solution avoid deterioration of the NPV in the sunlight and bring about more reduction in the population of H. armigera.
