Effectiveness of powdered plant products as grain protectants against the pulse beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus (F.)

The seed powder of Annona squamosa and rhizome powder of Acorus calamus showed minimum egghatching of Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) and larvae did not complete the development. The weight loss was also minimum in these treatments. However, seed treatment did not affect the germination of seeds.
