Abstract

Application of Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki 0.2% + neem oil 5%, B.t.k. 0.2% + citronella oil 5%, B.t.k. 0.2% + karanj oil 5%, B.t.k. 0.2% + cottonseed oil 5% and B.t.k. 0.2% + sesamum oil 5% resulted in significantly higher larval mortality (80.0% to 55.0%), feeding inhibition (80.0% to 32.4%), mean larval weight reduction (30.0% to 22.2%), pupal weight reduction (31.0% to 15.1%), pupation (18.3% to 41.6%), normal pupae (13.3% to 35.0%), normal adults (11.7% to 31.7%) alongwith prolonged larval and pupal periods, (11.0 to 9.3 days and 12.0 to 10.3 days, respectively) over untreated check.
