Studies on evaluation of chickpea germplasms for resistance to Helicoverpa armigera (Hb) indicated that genotypes ICC 1964, ICC 143, ICC 729 and ICC 515 were least susceptible to Helicoverpa armigera Hub. while others were moderately susceptible with pod borer damage ranging from 70.2% to 95.6%. The cultivar ICC 709 gave significantly higher grain yield.
