The development of rice bug, Leptocorisa acuta (Thunb.) was studied by rearing it on Echinochloa crusgalli (L.) and thermal requirements were estimated under variable temperature conditions. Threshold of development of the eggs was found to be 13.6°C while that of the nymphs ranged from 8.5 to 14.7°C.
