Management of yellow mite, Polyphagotarsonemus Latus (Banks) (Acari: Tarsonemidae) infesting chilli (Capsicum Annum L.) in gangetic alluvial plains of West Bengal

Abstract

Fenazaquin, abamectin and clofentezine, in two different dosages were evalualed against yellow mite, Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks) in Chilli in New Alluvial Region of West Bengal. Amongst them, abamectin (Vertimec 1.8 EC), a GABA-ergic nerve poison was found to be most suitable in both the dosages (9g & 5g ai/ha). Followed by fenazaquin (Magister 10 EC), a METI group of chemical, @100g ai/ha.
