Abstract

Bio-efficacy of fenpropathrin 30EC along with some other conventional pesticides were tested against Aceria guerreronis Keifer (coconut perianth mite) in two methods, root treatment and direct spraying to the nuts. Fenpropathrin @30 EC 3.0 g a.i./tree gave highest population reduction at root feeding while dicofol @ 0.0462% a.i. showed highest population reduction on nuts. Azadirachtin @0.005% was relatively safe to some common predatory mites viz. Amblyseius sp., Cunax sp and Agistemus sp.
