Abstract

Bioefficacy of different doses of benfuracarb 40 EC along with Triazophos+Deltamethrin and quinalphos was studied against pest complex of red gram during three consecutive seasons, i.e., August, 2003–April, 2004, August, 2004–April, 2005, and August, 2005–April, 2006. Results showed that benfuracarb 40 EC @ 1000–1500 g a.i./ha provided satisfactory control of target pests with significant increase in yield. Further, benfuracarb 40 EC was relatively safe to important natural enemies of Helicoverpa armigera and Melanagromyza obtusa.
