Abstract

Relative efficacy of pyridalyl 10 EC along with three other chemicals namely indoxacarb (Avaunt-14.5EC), spinosad (Tracer 45 SC) and cypermethrin (Ripcord 10 EC) was evaluated against two bollworm species of cotton, spotted bollworm, Earias insulana and American bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera. Pyridalyl 10 EC @ 75 g a.i./ha provided excellent control of the bollworms along with significant yield increase. It did not show any phytotoxicity to cotton plant and was very soft to important natural enemies.
