Abstract

Intraguild predation studies between potential predators of sugarcane woolly aphid (SWA), Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner viz., Micromus igorotus Banks, Dipha aphidivora (Meyrick) and Macrosyrphus confrator (Wiedemann) were made in vitro under both choice and no choice condition of host. There was no competitive interaction between the predators if the host (SWA) was abundantly available and three predators were able to co-exist in the same niche without exerting negative effect on each other. Under no choice condition (host denied), M. igorotus eggs and larvae succumbed greater loss followed by D. aphidivora and M. confrator.
