Glyptapanteles spodopterae sp. nov., (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Microgastrinae) parasitic on larvae of Spodoptera litura in India

Abstract

A new species of Glyptapanteles is described on Spodoptera liturae at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India. The new species which is different from G. africanus (Cameron) reared from the larvae of Spodoptera liturae Fabricius feeding on groundnut and castor leaves. A brief note on the biology has been provided.
