Abstract

The anti-protozoan drugs viz., codrinal (sodium salt of paratoluene), chloroquine (chloroquine phosphate), mebex (mebandazole), orni (ornidazole), satrogyl (satroniidazole) and bavistin (carbendazim) were fed to silkworm, Bombyx mori along with the mulberry leaves at three concentrations viz., 0.1, 0.2 and 0.4 per cent to ascertain their effect on larval and cocoon characters. Results showed lower larval, cocoon and shell weight as compared to the normal rearing. However there was statistically no effect on the cocoon yield(by number) and shell percentage.
