Life-fecundity tables of leaf miner, Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) on three different host plants*
Abstract
The survival of immature stages (lx) of Aproaerema modicella was 0.79, 0.75 and 0.70 per individual within a pivotal age of 24, 25 and 27 days on leaves of soybean, groundnut and bawachi, respectively. The net reproductive rate (R0) and length of generation time (T) was 55.74, 48.98 and 40.99 and 29.07, 30.12 and 31.82 days when reared on leaves of soybean, groundnut and bawachi, respectively. The innate capacity for increase in number (rm) and finite rate of increase in numbers () was found to be 0.1383, 0.1292 and 0.1167 and 1.15, 1.14 and 1.12 females per female per day when fed on the leaves of soybean, groundnut and bawachi, respectively.
