In two years trials, it was revealed that dimethoate and profenphos were significantly superior over untreated control (damage fruit 34.33% in number and 31.36% in weight). However, better yield was obtained from a mixed formulation of profenphos and cypermethrin (42.17 q/ha) followed by flubandiamide (40.20 q/ha) and profenphos (38.06 q/ha). Yield was positively related with the efficacy of insecticides. Only 13.98% damaged (in weight) fruits were recorded from neem treated plots with a better yield of 39.60 q/ha. Neem can be recommended for IPM programme in okra.
