Abstract

Zizyphus oenoplia Mill. (Fabricius) has been recorded as the new host plant of the common pierrot, Castalius rosimon (Fabricius). The durations, gross morphology and dimensions of various life history stages have been recorded besides observing the larval behaviour, oviposition behaviour in female and myrmecophily in larvae and pupae.
