Abstract

Results revealed that the greenbug reared on Reyhan variety had the highest rmvalues (0.30 ± 0.003) when compared to other cultivars. Developmental time was ranged between 8.34 to 8.50 days. No significant effects were observed for aphid developmental time at five tested varieties. The percentage of nymphal survival showed the highest value on Afzal variety (87%) and the lowest on Nosrat (80%). Longevity was 33.29 ± 0.68 and 31.96±0.78 days on Kavir and Zarjoo, followed by 30.21 ± 0.80, 29.86 ± 0.73 and 29.04 ± 0.83 days for Nosrat, Afzal and Reyhan. The adults reared on Zarjoo produced significantly more offspring than did those reared on Nosrat, Afzal and Reyhan. The highest and the lowest values of the expectation of life were observed on Kavir (27.3) and Nosrat(23.16) variety, respectively. The poor performance of aphids on Kavir and Afzal was attributed to their lower and values, also longer DT, Tc periods.
