Abstract

Studies on growth and development of Hyposidra infixaria (Walk) on eight different host plants, viz., jarul, mango, karonda, debdaru, sisoo, guava, coffee and tea revealed that highest growth index was recoded on mango followed by tea and lowest on sisoo. Larval-pupal index, pupal weight index, survival index, ovipositional index and adult index values showed that mango surpassed tea in host suitability.
