Abstract

Developmental period of the predator, Micromus igorotus banks on sugarcane woolly aphid, Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner was significantly low during January–March and June–August, but extended during October–December. Egg viability, larval survival and sex ratio did not vary much but adult emergence was low during January–March (68.00%) compared to June–August (81.48%) and October–December (79.48%). the sex ratio revealed that male prepondered slightly over female and geometric build up of M. igorotus egg and pupa was more during June–August followed by October–December and least during January–March. the most favourable period for M. igorotus multiplication was June–August.
