Abstract

the rearing performance of cSR-18 and cSR-19 breeds of silkworm was studied on S-41, S-54, M-5 and V-1 during rainy season. Results revealed that both CSR-18 and CSR-19 breeds were significantly superior to Nb4D2 in all the traits studied. Irrespective of the breeds, V-1 and S-41 mulberry varieties have enhanced the performance of all the traits. these new bivoltine breeds could be used for large multiplication as a seed crop in northern Karnataka.
