Results on insecticidal properties of plant secondary metabolite tomatine on larvae of subterranean termites Odontotermes wallonensis showed that tomatine at 1000 ppm caused 61.33 percent mortality to termites followed 600 ppm (60.40%). The standard check Chlorpyriphos at 1000 ppm recorded maximum mortality of 98.33 per cent 2 hours after treatment (HAT). This was followed by tomatine 1000 ppm (46.67%), 600 ppm (40.67%) and 800 ppm (36.67%) 2 HAT, respectively.
