Rhynchosia minima (L.) (Fabaceae): A new alternate host record for Tanaostigmodes cajaninae La Salle (Hymenoptera: Tanaostigmatidae)

Abstract

Tanaostigmodes cajaninae, a major pest of pigeonpea, Cajanus cajan in India, has been reported from more than twenty five alternate host plants. Rhynchosia minima has been recorded from Agra as new alternate host plant of T. cajaninae for the first time in India. Different stages of the pest alongwith its parasitoid were recorded on this new host plant.
