In studies on the toxicity of conventional and non-conventional insecticides against Dysdercus koenigii, three different concentrations i.e. 0.01, 0.02 and 0.04 per cent of multineem (8 EC) and 0.001, 0.002 and 0.004 percent of imidacloprid (20SL) were topically applied on the thoracic terga of 4th nymphal instar with the help of micro-applicator and the observation were made up to longevity of mated and unmated adults. Almost same trend of mortality was occurred in both cases that were concentration dependent. In term of mortality the conventional insecticide (imidacloprid) proved more toxic than the non-conventional insecticide (multineem), however on some other parameters the multineem was more toxic than imidacloprid.
