To explore carbaryl induced histopathological effects on reproductive system; sub-lethal dose (0.6 μg) of carbaryl was applied topically to the plant bug, Iphita limbata. The results revealed the presence of clumped spermatozoa and loosely arranged spermatids in the testes of treated insect. The large number of vacuoles and enlarged nuclei in the epithelial wall of mesadenes indicated gradual degradation of nuclei after carbaryl treatment.
