Abstract

The studies on qualitative and quantitative changes in the haemolymph and fat bodies of Acraea terpiscore, during the larva-pupa-adult transformation revealed that the protein contents in haemolymph were more than fat bodies of larvae. Similarly carbohydrate and lipid contents were less in fat bodies than in haemolymph of larvae. When compared with pupal and adult haemolymph, the protein contents were higher in larval haemolymph. The lipid and carbohydrate contents are less in adult haemolymph than larva and pupa.
