Study revealed the presence of 36 species of butterflies related to 26 genera of 7 families during surveys conducted at various seasons. These species constituted 55.39 percent of total butterfly species found in Punjab. Seven families of Lepidoptera viz. Pieridae, Lycaenidae, Nymphalidae, Satgridae, Danaidae, Papilionidae and Acraeidae were most prevalent.
