The efficacy of some botanicals against the weevils of S. rugicollis attacking shorea robusta (Sal) seeds in storage was studied in different formulation. Neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss), botanical powders and vegetable oils: formulations provided varied amount of protection to the sal seeds from the weevils in storage. The neem oil followed by extract of custard apple (Annona squamosa) was effective in minimizing the egg laying and thus the population build-up of the seed borer.
