Abstract

studies revealed that population of brown soft scale Coccus hesperidium was positively correlated with temperature and moisture. Maximum infestation was observed in the month of May whereas minimum was in December. Cymbidium hookerionum, C. longifolium and C. mastonon species harbored negligible scale insect population and performed well in the agroclimatic condition of Uttarakhand whereas C. eburneum species showed poor performance due to severe scale infestation
