Seasonal variation in the duration of life cycle stages of Hyblaea puera and Diacrisia obliqua in agroforestry systems of Mizoram

Abstract

Hyblaea puera and Diacrisia obliqua are two important pests of the tree component of agroforestry systems in Mizoram showing 2-generation in a year. H. puera is the skeletonizer of Tectona grandis, an important timber species, and D. obliqua is a pest of Clerodendrum colebrookianum, an important tree component of home gardens with medicinal properties. Seasonal difference in the length of life stages of the two species are distinct.
