Life history traits of Tetranychus urticae koch. (Acari: Tetranychidae) on cowpea (Vigna unguiculata subsp. Cylindrica L.) (Fabacae: Fabeles)

Abstract

The present findings are based on growth parameters viz., intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm), net reproductive rate (r0), finite rate of increase (λ) and doubling time (DT) of T. urticae reared on cowpea. the net reproductive rate (ro) representing the total female birth was 34.41. The approximate generation time (tc) was found to be 16.44 days. Doubling time was 3.17 days. Finite rate of increase in number (λ) is 1.66 female/female/day.
