Abstract

Among all the treatments, application of phorate 10G @ 10 Kg/ha at planting followed by spray of chlorpyriphos 0.1% (5 ml/litre water) on the ridges immediately before earthing up (at 5 days crop growth in June) resulted in better control of white grubs. This resulted in reduced tuber damage to only about 02 per cent as compared to 20 per cent in control.
